Warning to Institutions

While welcoming candidates, JAMB issued a stern warning to awarding institutions. The Board will not process applications from institutions that have failed to verify A’level certificates presented by candidates for the 2023 admission. This underscores the importance of institutions promptly responding to verification requests.

Verification Procedures

For DE candidates awaiting A’level results of IJMB/JUPEB/NABTEB, the Board mandates the upload of Admission Letters and Registration Templates during registration. Additionally, candidates with Cambridge certificates from the pre-2018 examination year should directly contact Cambridge for verification, a process that may take up to 28 days.

Statement of Results Validity

JAMB accepts statements of results (in lieu of certificates) for registration but only within three years of the date of award. This ensures that candidates present current and relevant documentation during the application process.

UTME to DE Upgrade Opportunity

JAMB provides a window for upgrading from UTME to DE. This applies to candidates whose DE results are pending at the point of UTME registration, provided they indicated awaiting A’level results during registration and supplied the necessary particulars in the uploaded registration template.
